We're recruiting for an NDT Level II Inspector for an Aerospace & Defense company in Milwaukee. This is a repair station environment, so you'll be inspecting aviation components and making serviceability calls that actually matter.
You'll need current NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A Level II certification in MT and PT. UT and ET are a bonus.
Day to day, you're doing PT, MT, and possibly UT/ET inspections on aircraft components, interpreting results against technical data, and documenting everything properly. There's also a training side to it - you'd be mentoring Level I techs and helping them work toward certification, plus writing and updating NDT procedures that go to the off-site Level III for review.
It's not purely bench work either. You'd have some involvement in shop scheduling, equipment calibration and maintenance, and occasionally stepping in as In-Process Inspector. They also want this person involved in hiring decisions for new technicians, so there's a bit of a leadership element to the role.
What they're looking for:
- NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A Level II in MT and PT (required)
- 5+ years of NDT experience, FAA Part 145 background preferred
- Eligible for FAA Repairman Certification with NDT rating
- Able to set up and run NDT equipment independently
- Comfortable in a shop environment, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to noise and chemicals
If you've got UT, ET, or Level III certification on top of the above, that's a strong plus, not a requirement.
