A leading Global Freight Forwarding company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in the Tri-State area.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the freight forwarding industry, building relationships and closing new business. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and the customer service team to drive business growth in a competitive market.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identifying new leads and opportunities within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients.
- Netwoking at industry events to engage with prospective clients.
- Conducting cold calls to generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborating with the Vice President and Customer Service teams to support business growth.
- Researching potential clients thoroughly to ensure realistic credit limits and success rates.
- Qualifying prospects to promote the company’s services effectively.
- Arranging client visits and follow-up communications to close business deals.
- Preparing proposals and presenting them to potential clients.
- Negotiating terms and conditions with new clients.
- Monitoring and achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.
