Driver Recruiter – Moving & Relocation

We’re looking for an experienced Driver Recruiter to help build and maintain a strong network of professional drivers for a growing moving and relocation operation in Connecticut. This is a hands-on recruiting role for someone who understands the driver market, knows how to engage experienced CDL drivers and owner-operators, and ideally has experience within household goods (HHG), commercial moving or the wider relocation industry.

Remote working can be considered for candidates with strong, proven experience specifically within the moving and relocation industry.

What we are looking for:
  • Proactively source and recruit qualified CDL drivers, owner-operators and moving professionals across Connecticut and surrounding markets.
  • Build relationships with prospective drivers through phone calls, referrals, social media, job boards and industry contacts.
  • Screen candidates to understand their driving background, moving experience, qualifications, safety history and overall suitability.
  • Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping communication clear and maintaining momentum from first conversation through hire.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of drivers to support both immediate hiring requirements and future operational needs.
  • Work closely with Operations, Safety and management to understand driver requirements and ensure candidates meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Clearly explain opportunities, compensation, expectations and the realities of working within the moving and relocation industry.
  • Keep candidate information and recruiting activity organized and up to date while looking for new ways to improve driver attraction and retention.

Required Experience:
  • Previous experience recruiting CDL drivers, owner-operators or other professional drivers.
  • Experience within household goods moving, commercial/office & industrial (O&I) relocation, moving and storage, or a closely related transportation environment is strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of the U.S. driver market and the challenges involved in attracting experienced professional drivers.
  • Confident communicator who is comfortable making outbound calls and building genuine relationships with drivers.
  • Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements and driver qualification standards.
  • Organized, proactive and comfortable managing multiple candidates and vacancies at different stages of the recruitment process.
