We're working with a company in the moving and relocation sector that is looking to recruit a Operations Manager - Moving Services in Toronto, Canada. The role will focus on supervising day-to-day moving operations, overseeing crews and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supervising moving crews and overseeing daily operational activity.
- Allocating moving crews, vehicles and equipment across scheduled jobs.
- Monitoring job progress and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Checking that moving crews are following company procedures and safe working practices.
- Supporting drivers and crew leaders with day-to-day operational decisions.
- Reviewing staffing levels, workloads and resource requirements.
- Liaising with office teams to keep moves on schedule and address service issues.
Our client is particularly interested in candidates with:
- Experience supervising moving, removals or household goods operations.
- Good knowledge of domestic and international moving processes.
- Experience managing moving crews, drivers and operational resources.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage several jobs at the same time.
- Experience using moving or relocation management software.
